Hey dolls,

Sorry it took me so long to get round to this - I've been so busy with Christmas parties and my birthday and all that fun stuff! Here's my review of the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette.

Yep, I know I'm a little late to the party with this one but it's been so hard to get my hands on this in the UK. But as I mentioned in my USA makeup haul post (here), my parents managed to pick this up for me in Sephora. This palette retails in the UK on Cult Beauty for £56, which I think is a little bit eye-watering. Having said that, it is absolutely stunning isn't it?! I am always a bit skeptical about products that are so hyped up, as I'm expecting big things.

So does this live up to the hype? Absolutely 100% yes. The packaging of the palette is gorgeous. The palette is matte with metallic/shining accents. It's feels really sturdy and you actually get a lot of products for your money. I hate when palettes have super small pans but these are a decent size. The whole palette just feels so luxe. The mirror is a really good size as well which is always handy.

The colours themselves are absolutely beautiful. I don't know how else to describe them! There are a  bunch of 'standard' nude colours as expected. But there are also a ton of gorgeous shimmery and glittery shades, as well as a couple of matte brights. I love the colour range and I think this palette is so different from other ones I have seen. The Twilight and Retrograde colours are my particular favourites.
I've swatched a few of my favourites to show you how they show up on the skin. As you can see, they are super pigmented and the shimmer to them is just lovely. The colours from top to bottom are Retrograde, Blood Moon, Angelic, Twilight and Nefertiti. Retrograde is a kind of duo-chrome colour and so shines different colours in different angles.

Overall, I am so impressed with the palette and think it's worth every penny! If you've tried this, let me know what you thought!

Much love,

Kerry x
