My 2018 Resolutions

Hey dolls,

Happy New Year! I know there's a million of these on the internet at the moment but I really wanted to do a post about 'New Years Resolutions'. I don't really buy into the whole 'new year, new me' thing, as I think you can become a new you any day of the year! But having looked back at the past year, there are definitely a few things that I think I can improve on this year.

1. Get into shape
I know that this is literally on everyone's list every year! But really, I think it's really important that I focus on getting fitter and eating healthier in 2018 for many different reasons. One main reason is my health! I have an underactive thyroid (google it!) and so this means that amongst many other symptoms, my metabolism tends to be a little bit slower than it should be. Therefore it is a lot easier for me to pile on the pounds if I'm not careful, and also means that I get really tired and lethargic a lot. I really want to start exercising to keep myself in shape and also to help my mood. Secondly, I am really struggling with self confidence issues at the moment, and it's only getting worse. I'll talk about the mental issues I have dealt with in another post, but think it's time to start doing something to help myself!

2. Be positive
In general, I would say I'm quite a negative person, that's just who I am. I tend to see the bad side to everything and always expect the worst. But I know that's not always right! I really believe that if you think positively, then positive things will happen. It's time to just be positive and happy!

3. Be more experimental with fashion
I used to absolutely love fashion. I used to spend hours on end researching designers and trends and somehow I seem to have lost my passion for it. It's something I used to realy enjoy so I don't know what happened! This year I'm going to be bolder and braver with fashion and have fun a little bit. I've got so stuck in a rut at the moment and I'm definitely not happy with how I'm looking. I know it's not the most important thing in the world but it's a hobby and a passion that I'd really like to get back.

4. Up my blogging game
My blog at the moment is a little bit of fun for me to do on a boring evening. I've found though that I absolutely love writing so really want to invest more time into doing it. I'm determined to learn how to take better pictures and constantly try new things. I also really want to use this to connect to more people on a similar level to me. At this age, I think it's super hard to find and make new friends. I'm honestly so open and will talk to pretty much anybody so I feel like this will be the perfect way to meet new people and do something fulfilling this year.

5. Appreciate the people around me more
If there's anything the past couple of years has taught me, it's that life is completely unpredictable and you really never do know what's around the corner. I have promised myself that I am going to make so much more of an effort with the people that I love and care about. Life's way too short to hold onto grudges or to be lazy with people. In 2018 I am going to treasure every single moment I get to spend with my loved ones and I am going to be a much better person to them.

Happy new year, lovelies! Whatever you're facing in 2018, let's all try and make it as amazing as we can! Not everyone can have the perfect year every single year, but just remember that when life throws bad things your way, you can always learn from the situation.

Much love,
